Thanks for the reply regardless.Įdit: Also I dunno how to quote on these forums so forgive the crap format plz. I'll keep trying, perhaps I'll stop playing campaign and do some multiplayer against the AI so we're at least on a level playing field at the start so I can see where I fell off and the turn limit doesn't hinder me. if that makes sense? In say Advanced Wars, I could plan turns ahead and counter units with strategy and positioning but it just doesn't ring for me here. I've played a good deal of turned based strategies and I love the genre, but a nuance missing here I'm. It just seems hard to grasp a good situation or a good opportunity when both parties act in combat. I really just posted to vent some frustration anyway. 1) working cache a) load the spritesheet into the proper cache b) extract and put an unscaled copy into the correct cache (unscaled I think) 2) wml a) spritesheet tags b) spritesheet animation syntax. I'm sure I'll get it eventually but I just feel like I'm missing something and I'd rather not waste your time with noobie questions when I should just keep trying. Here is the complete animation for all three levels and cgf files. I think that for this to work I need to get the basics in place for the following by mid June. Please don't think I'm rude but I don't want to go through the hassel of registering, finding replay, posting, replying, etc. I'm in a good mood right now and I like the game, so how about you send me a PM in the wesnoth forums with your replays and I try to figure out what you are doing wrong? :D
I just can't wrap my head around the finer details it seems. I tried reading a few guides on the forums to help (someone suggested that their fighters are pretty good so I tried focusing on them a bit) but it just seems i keep losing my soon to be leveled guys to focus fire and on the later levels the AI gets a whole mess of lvl 2 units. I'm a noob for sure so I'm not claiming it's the games fault but DAMN! Buy me dinner first before you bend me over and ruin me raw. I want a nice middle ground between i can swim no problem and im drowning over here. I didn't want an easy win on every level so i figured intermediate would be good for a challenge but damn it's kicking my ass. I beat a short campaign on begginer and it was cake, I steamrolled everything and was generally disappointed. I'm trying the "beginner" elve campaign and it's hard as hell on intermediate.
